Upload Your Logo or Artwork

Upload Your Image

Upload a PNG, JPG, SVG, or PDF of your logo, patch art, or department seal. Raster images are converted automatically.

Live Preview

See exactly how your uploaded artwork will look engraved on the badge — before you place an order.

Human Review

Every order is reviewed by a real person. If your artwork needs cleanup for engraving, we handle it before production.

Made in Auburn

Every badge is cut and engraved by hand in Auburn, Alabama — not drop-shipped from an overseas facility.

The custom badge path is designed for customers who have their own artwork — a department logo, an agency crest, a specialty team patch, or any other image they want engraved on a badge. You upload the file, the live preview updates, and you see how the engraved version will look at badge scale before committing to an order. There's no back-and-forth email chain required to see what your logo looks like on a badge.

Accepted upload formats include PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF, and EPS. If you only have a raster image — including a phone photo of your agency patch — that works as a starting point. Our conversion tool processes the upload and generates an engraving-ready version. For logos with very fine detail, our team reviews the conversion result manually before anything is engraved.

Preview Your Custom Badge Before Checkout

The badge designer gives you direct control over artwork placement, text layout, sizing, and position. After uploading your image, drag it to the position that works for your design, scale it relative to your name and credential lines, and adjust until the live preview looks the way you want. What you approve is what we engrave — the preview is the proof, not a rough approximation.

Text fields for name, title, credential line, and agency are all adjustable. Font choices cover condensed and regular weights. Badges are available in three sizes — 2"×3", 2"×4", and 3"×5" — and the preview scales accurately for each, so you can check that your logo reads well at the size you're ordering before you add anything to the cart.

If a layout element isn't working — the logo is too dominant, the text is crowded, the proportions are off — adjust it in the tool and check the preview again. The point of the live preview is to give you confidence before checkout, not to present a finished product on the other side of a purchase.

Artwork Conversion and Human Review

Laser engraving works in high contrast — burned vs. unburned surface. That means artwork that works for print, embroidery, or screen display often needs conversion before it engraves cleanly. Gradients become flat fills. Very fine lines may need to be thickened slightly to hold at badge scale. Raster images need vectorization to reproduce at engraving resolution without artifacts.

Our artwork conversion tool handles most of this automatically on upload. For straightforward logos — a star of life, a simple shield or seal, a text-based department mark — the conversion is clean and the preview is accurate. For complex logos with many fine elements, halftone shading, or very small text, a member of our team reviews the converted artwork and makes adjustments as needed before engraving begins.

If the conversion changes the artwork in a way that materially affects what you'd want to order, we contact you before proceeding. Nothing is engraved until the version we're cutting matches what you designed. Looking for a leather flight wing badge instead? Start with the wing badge designer.

Built for Agencies, Crews, and Specialty Teams

The upload path is specifically useful for teams that have their own identity artwork — department logos that don't map to a standard wing or patch design, specialty teams with custom emblems, or programs that want consistent agency branding across a full crew order. Fire/EMS combined departments, search and rescue teams, offshore medics, event medical crews, and tactical EMS units frequently use this path because their program marks are distinctive and don't fit a template.

For crew and department orders, the process scales: each provider supplies their name and credentials, and the agency logo or department seal engraves consistently across every badge in the set. The human review step applies to every badge in a crew order — not just the first one. If a logo needs adjustment, we catch it across the whole set before any badge is cut.

Individual providers with a specific agency affiliation they want on their badge also use this path regularly — a flight program's patch, a service logo they've carried for years, or a specialty certification emblem that doesn't appear in any standard badge library.

Start With Your Design, Not a Template

The custom badge path assumes you're bringing your own artwork to the table. The designer starts from your upload, not from a template you fill in. That distinction matters when the standard wing and text layouts don't represent what you or your team actually looks like.

A few practical notes on getting the best result: upload the highest-resolution version of your logo you have available. SVG and PDF are ideal because they're resolution-independent. A high-DPI PNG (300 DPI or better) works well for most logos. A JPEG works but may show compression artifacts after conversion — the preview will show you this if it's an issue before you order. If you have questions about a specific logo before uploading, email us at [email protected] and we'll tell you what to expect.

No minimum order quantities apply. Single-badge orders are welcome. Crew orders of ten or more may qualify for volume pricing — contact us before placing a large order to confirm current pricing.
